Texas Furniture Hut going out of business, liquidating both locations
Family-owned retailer begins total sell-off in Katy and Cypress on February 1
KATY, Texas (January 30, 2025) — After 23 years in business, family-owned and operated Texas Furniture Hut will permanently close its stores in Katy and Cypress. The final liquidation event begins February 1 with once-in-a-lifetime prices on high-end furniture and mattresses.
Texas Furniture Hut was founded in 2002 by Amir Burghli. His commitment to providing patrons with luxury furniture at affordable prices earned Texas Furniture Hut an impeccable reputation for quality and integrity which carried the Burghli family business through 23 years of growth and success.
“What began as a dream grew into something far greater than I could have imagined,” said Burghli. “My family and I are proud of the lasting relationships we’ve built with our customers, and we want to thank everyone who supported us throughout the years.”
Texas Furniture Hut begins its going-out-of-business sale February 1 at 23811 Katy Fwy in Katy and 23922 NW Fwy. in Cypress. Across a combined 64,000-square-feet of showroom space, a wide variety of furniture including designer collections and custom-made pieces will be priced to move quickly. Heirloom-quality area rugs and floor clocks will be on sale with all home accessories discounted up to 50% off. Famous name brands include Aireloom Mattress, Aspen, Bernhardt, BeautyRest Black, Craftmaster, Flexsteel, Hometrends, Howard Miller, Mayo, Tempur-Pedic, and Simon Li.

The original Texas Furniture Hut was established in a small mechanics shop in Humble which Burghli transformed into an elegant furniture showroom. After six successful years of business, he relocated to a new building in Cypress which consisted of a 26,000-square-foot showroom and an accompanying warehouse. In 2015, he opened an additional Texas Furniture Hut in Katy.
